Privacy policy
Last updated June 2026.
This policy describes how YourBrief (the platform) handles personal data submitted through brief forms it hosts on behalf of agency operators.
What we collect
- Brief answers. The text, files, and choices you submit through a brief form.
- Contact details. Your name, email, and (optionally) company name, used to follow up about your project.
- Technical metadata. A session cookie used for CSRF protection, your IP address (for rate-limiting), and your user-agent string.
How it is used
- To deliver your brief to the agency you submitted it to.
- To produce a project scope, proposal, and follow-up communication about your project.
- To improve form completion rates (we record anonymised step-completion events; no PII is captured in those events).
Where it is stored
Brief data is stored on infrastructure operated by the platform provider. Files you upload are stored in the platform's object store. Backups are retained for the rolling window configured by the platform operator.
Your rights
Under applicable data-protection law (including the GDPR / UK GDPR) you have the right to:
- Access a machine-readable copy of the data we hold about you.
- Correct data that is wrong or incomplete.
- Erase your personal data from this system. We will scrub your name, email and answers from the submission row while keeping aggregated funnel statistics.
- Object to specific processing.
To exercise any of these rights, contact the agency that sent you the brief link, or the platform operator.
Cookies
YourBrief itself sets one cookie: a session cookie used for CSRF protection. The agency that sent you the brief may load additional analytics or chat tools through their custom head-injection setting; their privacy policy covers those.
Contact
For privacy questions related to this brief form, please contact the agency listed at the top of the form. They are the data controller; the platform acts as data processor on their behalf.
